January 28th Grooming Report
A Wall of White!
Another wall of fluffy white flakes has descended upon Trail Creek, resetting everything to fresh, unmarked powder. Fortunately, the Husky was more than up to the challenge, rumbling through the woods and fields to create wonderful ski trails for everyone to enjoy. Today’s grooming covered almost every trail with at least one pass, as well as double passes on several woods trails such as Moose Loop, Armin’s, and Outward/Homeward Bound, as well as double passes on pretty much every fields trail.
As of this moment, the storms seem to be petering out for a bit, so hopefully corduroy will persist at least through the daylight hours, though it was snowing heavily during the early morning, so some trails may have light accumulation, and Elk were spotted on Moose Loop! All things considered, it should be a quiet weekend, but a great time to ski, especially if you like softer snow.
Best of luck to Steve on his surgery, let’s all hope he’s back in record time to retake control of his beloved trails!
