Kaya grew up literally on the ski trails of Homer, Alaska where she used her two skinny planks to tour the neighborhood ravines and visit friends from the moment the first flakes fell until there were only patches of slush in the spring. She skied, raced, and tried her hand at grooming trails, throughout middle and high school and came back after graduating to coach the High School team for two winters. Kaya studied Geology at Quest University in British Columbia, and ever since has been exploring the Northwest mountains, rocks, rivers, and oceans which eventually landed her in Jackson. She is excited to join the Ski Club as a coach for the Junior team and the Ositos program this year!
